Walking the Wrong Side of Diet Avenue

Gluttony is a fun-filled sin; eating right is the path to a fun-filled future. The choice is yours, but if it is to eat irregularly and manage the double cheeseburgers with skipped meals or weight-control pills, you are just taking yourself further down the weight loss track.

Those who have, however; gained through dieting, have been found to relish their large quantities of cereals and freshly cut seasonal fruits in breakfast. This is what we may call creative gluttony – a sin that doesn’t harm unlike junk food. It’s definitely more than a few leaves of lettuce or half-a-dozen carrot sticks; yet, it works. The question is: How?

The primary focus of anyone trying to lose weight through dieting must stay on how to increase the metabolic rate through foods, instead of restricting an overall food consumption. To simplify, you must feed the muscles of your body, which shall in turn result in an increased body metabolism. A high metabolism uses up the fat storage and work against fat build-up; working the muscles more shall take it up even higher. It shall also produce an extra amount of testosterone; this is an androgenic hormone with lipolytic properties. Thus, you start losing fat in three different but interlinked ways.

While the vegetables, cereals and fruits shall supply your body with the essential minerals, fibers and some amount of nutrients, you need to feed the muscles with proteins. So lean meat is welcome; so are fishes and eggs. However, a little complex carbohydrate shall do you good; while it shall stabilize the rate of fat loss, it shall also supply the necessary energy one needs on a daily basis.

So as you can find out, going astray from the proper Diet Avenue is not a sin; it’s only so when you are reluctant to walk the right direction. Meander your course when there is time; else, a road-blocked sign after covering a long distance is both frustrating and disheartening.
